Corrections policy

We will get things wrong. What matters is that the record gets fixed visibly rather than quietly.

Reporting an error

Email contact@informedtoken.com with the article link and what you believe is wrong. If you can point to a source, it will be resolved faster — but you do not need one to raise something.

We aim to acknowledge reports within two working days. Correcting a clear factual error takes as long as verifying it and no longer; disputed points may take more.

How corrections appear

We distinguish three cases, because collapsing them lets a significant error hide behind the language of a typo.

  • Correction. A factual error that changed the meaning of the piece. A dated correction notice is added to the article stating what was wrong and what it now says. The original error is described, not erased.
  • Clarification. The facts were right but the phrasing invited a wrong reading. Noted on the article in the same way.
  • Silent fix. Typos, broken links, and formatting. No notice, because nothing a reader understood has changed.

Correction notices stay on the article permanently. We do not remove them once a piece is old.

Substantial rewrites and removal

If a story changes so much that it is no longer the piece originally published, we say so at the top rather than letting the URL carry different claims than it did before.

We do not unpublish articles to make an error disappear. In the rare cases where removal is genuinely warranted — a legal requirement, or a safety risk to a named individual — the URL will explain that the piece was removed and why.

AI-assisted drafts

Our workflow uses AI tools to draft, and a human editor verifies and takes responsibility for everything published — see editorial standards. If an error originates in a generated draft, that is an editing failure, not an excuse, and it is corrected under exactly the same policy.
