Most AI coverage falls into one of two traps: breathless claims about what is coming, or dismissal of what already works. We aim for the harder, more useful thing in between.
What we cover
Informed Token covers artificial intelligence as an industry and as a technology: model releases, research worth understanding, the companies and money behind them, policy and regulation, and the practical question of what any of it changes for the people using it.
Every story is written to answer four questions — what happened, what is actually new about it, why it matters, and what is being overstated. The last one matters as much as the others. A great deal of AI coverage repeats claims without asking whether the underlying capability changed or the marketing did.
How we work
We publish news, analysis, explainers, research breakdowns, and tool reviews. Explainers are written to stay useful for months rather than hours, and are updated when the ground shifts rather than replaced with a fresh post.
We use AI tools in our own workflow — for monitoring sources, for research assistance, and for drafting. No article is published without a human editor reviewing it, checking its claims, and taking responsibility for it. Our editorial standards set out exactly where that line sits, because a publication covering AI should be specific about its own use of it.
